Bicycle enthusiasts are in the right place! You can discover the natural and cultural heritage of Banyoles and the whole Pla de l'Estany on two wheels. There are a dozen mountain biking trails that they have more than 300 kilometers of signposted route and we will tell you more.
Puig Clarà to Camós route: this circuit allows you to travel around the Lake of Banyoles and some emblematic points of the city, such as La Draga and the spa and fountain of La Puda, cross the lagoons of Can Morgat, climb to the top of Puig Clarà and enjoy views spectacular, enter the forest of Estunes and reach the neighboring town of Camós. The first half has a more technical climb and then continues on the slopes forestry.
Briolf i Guixeres route: circuit that combines sections of high difficulty with beautiful technical places and descents for inhospitable places. Beyond common points with other itineraries, such as the Banyoles lake, the Pont de Martís or the Romanic church of Santa Maria de Porqueres, this mountain bike route takes you to the abandoned village of Briolf, with a church from the 10th century, and at the Castle and Molí de Roca from the 13th century.
Route around Vilademuls: If you want to know the small rural villages of the region, this is your route. Beautiful paths will guide you through places and full corners of charm and history, as you can visit the church of Sant Cugat de Ravós, which treasures 13th-century wall paintings, the Romanic churches of Sant Cristina of Espasens and Santa Maria de Vilamarí, and the church of Sant Andreu del Terri originating in the 9th century.
